In a surprising collaboration that challenges traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Questline Uncovered

According to the formal release, "A strange meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the obscurity." The storyline introduces a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre tests and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Places and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser finishes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
