Aircraft Spirals Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Coast
A chopper hovering over a popular California shoreline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a line of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings uploaded online depict the chopper beginning to twirl over the shoreline then falling towards the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a steps close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
Local firefighters stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on that day.
Three persons on the pavement were hurt. Specifics on their wounds were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
