Bondi Discloses Probe into President's Adversaries and Jeffrey Epstein Links

This past Friday, Pam Bondi appointed interim US attorney Jay Clayton to head an inquiry into political adversaries of Donald Trump and their relationships with Jeffrey Epstein. This decision came hours after the president ordered her to launch the probe.

In a statement, Bondi commended Jay Clayton as “one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country”. The official remarked, “This case will be addressed with speed and honesty to ensure public transparency.”

This development appears to contradict a recent memorandum from federal authorities which stated that the Epstein files lacked grounds for further inquiries. As per the document, authorities “did not uncover evidence that could predicate an investigation against uncharged third parties”

Trump Demands Scrutiny of Democrats in Epstein Case

This news coincides with growing pressure from the president on lawmakers to resist the full release of Epstein-related documents before an upcoming House vote in the coming days. Several lawmakers are expected to back the disclosure.

Newly public communications from Epstein have highlighted the president’s previous connections with the sex trafficker, revealing details that his knowledge of Epstein’s behavior exceeded prior admissions.

That same day, Trump declared he would ask the DOJ to examine connections between Epstein and Democratic figures, specifically naming Bill Clinton, Larry Summers and Reid Hoffman. Interestingly, he also described the “Epstein hoax” as a “deception”.
