Christantus Uche Ignites Comfortable Crystal Palace Win at Shelbourne.
Despite entering their maiden continental campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without star players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a spot in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another victory in their upcoming fixture against Finnish KuPS ought to be enough to secure direct passage to the last 16, particularly following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Moment
This match offered a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second consecutive match.

The contest was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past some comically weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, but saw his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise positive evening for the traveling side.
