'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane reduces on Premier League comeback

Kane marks his 100th goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has stated that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has diminished and he is prepared to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year deal he signed when joining from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.

The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the first important trophy of his notable career.

Tottenham coach Thomas Frank has recently expressed that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England captain has now clarified that he is no longer as keen about returning home as he earlier was, and would seriously consider extending his tenure in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could absolutely see that," he stated.

"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be open to talk and have an straightforward conversation.

"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so unfolds and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a superb moment and I am not considering about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has decreased a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have realized in my career is that different opportunities and different periods happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and recently became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club playing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the landmark in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he lifted the German title last season.

Kane admits that he was not sure how he would react after overcoming his trophy barren spell, but now believes it has made him motivated for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be natural to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he explained.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.

"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
