Paramount Skydance Will Eliminate Nearly 2,000 US Jobs – News
Skydance Paramount plans to begin significant workforce reductions the week of 27 October, removing nearly 2,000 positions in the United States within a budget-saving initiative valued at $2bn overseen by new chief executive David Ellison.
These job cuts come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August worth $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance aiming to announce full details in its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.
Previous updates stated the company was looking to reduce from 2,000 to 3,000 positions before the start of November.
Until December 2024, the organization employed nearly 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 project-based staff.
