Trump's Family Member Receives Expert Tips from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf Debut
This young athlete maintains impressive online presence
Kai Trump will have numerous high-profile supporters when she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, obtained a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, owns several golf courses and often matches against his granddaughter.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically advised me to go out there and have fun," she added.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He can't make it for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in just three tournaments this year and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she can seek guidance from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with her mother.
"He stands as the greatest golfer globally," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive individual. He suggested me to compete, enjoy myself, adapting to the flow."
Kai will face multiple most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, including world number two the champion, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Officials commented that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to new audiences, particularly reaching the next generation.
The young star has substantial online presence and just introduced a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
Her first tee time at late afternoon GMT.
